This name, which allows us to stand out, refers to the work of a large number of farmers from Villa de Maella, situated in the Lower Aragón region, in the middle reaches of the Matarraña river. This is one of the best fruit-growing regions in Aragón, since our position at an altitude of barely 320 metres allows us to grow fruit trees during a large part of the year, from the earliest cherries to the latest peaches to be harvested.

Our dry farming lands are planted with empeltre olive trees, a variety grown here for over a thousand years, longstanding vineyards in a zone which provides highly aromatic wines with intense colour, and almond trees which also occupy a major part of our land.

We are registered with the various protected designations of origin which cover our produce: D.O. for Peaches from Calanda (for the production of late peaches in bags), D.O. Oil of the Bajo Aragón (for naturally produced oil made from the Empeltre variety of olive), as well as the specific appellation of "Country Wines from the Bajo Aragón".
