
Our installations have the most modern refrigerated storage facilities (5,600 m3 divided between 6 chambers with a storage capacity of 500 tonnes each), as well as equipment for the selection and packing of the different kinds of fruit we produce, all with the back-up of a quality control system which supervises the fruit from reception to dispatch, and a protocol for the analysis of waste which guarantees the quality of Magalia packed fruit.
In order to make the best oil from our fruit we have state-of-the-art facilities with a milling capacity of 80,000 Kilos per day. This allows us to process the olives just a few minutes after they arrive at the press, thereby avoiding the loss of freshness and unpleasant fustiness. When the olives arrive the plant residue which may accompany them is removed, they are washed to remove foreign bodies, weighed (in a continuous weighing system) and packed into hoppers depending on which category they are assigned to. During the whole process the parameters which determine the final quality of the oil, such as stirring temperatures, addition of talc and spinning.
