In former times, vines covered a large part of the dry and irrigated lands of Maella, and wine was of great economic importance, bringing fame to the whole district for the excellence of its highly aromatic wines, with intense colour, which allow us to make the Magalia range of wines. The main varieties of grape planted are red garnacha, white garnacha, macabeo and to a lesser extent, gramo, merlot, tempranillo and syrah. These vineyards are situated in the driest parts of the district with most exposure to sunshine, with old vines of up to 50 years in age and using the goblet pruning system (95%).

Fruit of our work and dedication, we have been rewarded with the Bronze Tulip prize for the best young wine from Aragón in 2008 and the Gran Premio Iberwine 2010 in the young red wine category with our Magalia garnacha.

The Magalia Group has the capacity to make wines which can belong to the "Country Wine" appellation of the Denominación Específica de "Vinos de la Tierra de Bajo Aragón", official recognition of their quality and of consistency of many years of hard work dedicated to this activity.
